The Tohono O'odham history has been passed from generation to generation through story telling.
And, what a history it has been. People have lived along the Santa Cruz River near Tucson for at least 3,000 years. Putting that in perspective, that means The Tohono O'odham People's history is older than the Roman Empire and much older than the Sphinx of Egypt. Many archeologists believe this makes Tucson the longest inhabited city in the United States.
