Hope is what gives us the energy to go on when things look dark. Tohono O'odham Hospice recognizes the importance of hope as a powerful, ever changing force throughout life.
Hospice offers hope that a familiar care setting can be available.
Hospice offers hope for personal dignity and freedom from uncomfortable medical procedures.
Hospice offers hope for freedom from isolation, loneliness, loss of control and physical distress.
Hospice offers hope to the families who have lost a loved one by supporting them with bereavement (grief) services for the first thirteen months after their loss.

Tohono O'odham Hospice
Tohono O'odham Nursing Authority
We will provide, with cultural sensitivity, flexible services to meet the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs of the individual and family. A team of traditional healers, physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains and volunteers coordinate these services.
We provide a continuum of end-of-life services. As we individualize care, we are able to care for patients as needs change and can help determine the most appropriate setting to provide hospice services (at home or in alternative residential settings).
Strengthening your spiritual beliefs is an integral part of our services.
We utilize community resources to meet spiritual needs of all beliefs.
We have a dedicated team of trained volunteers who provide support
and companionship to patients and families.
Following the passing of a loved one, our Bereavement Program, which
is open to the community, offers thirteen months of follow up and
support to families.
We are a resource to professionals and to the public regarding all end-of-life issues, particularly those relating to Tohono O'odham traditions.
Tohono O'odham Hospice is available to answer your questions 24 hours a day.
If you would like information, or think you may want to enroll, simply give us a
call at (520) 383-1893. We are privileged to be of assistance during difficult times.
We will serve everyone regardless of insurance coverage, but Medicare, ALTCS
and some private insurances do provide hospice care as part of their coverage.
